It’s been said that an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure, and this has never been truer than it is today. We have all seen the commercials for different types of pharmaceutical drugs that claim to “cure” this or “alleviate” symptoms of that. If the cell wall (membrane) is hardened, it becomes nearly impossible for that cell to get nutrients or perform its natural cellular functions. Free radicals are caused by pollution, radiation, herbicides and pesticides sprayed on the foods we eat, excessive exercise or lack of exercise, lack of sleep, smoking, and stress. Multiples of free radicals contribute to things like cancer, arthritis, sleep and mood disorders, premature aging, hardening of the arteries, Alzheimer’s, and diabetes. Once the free radical is neutralized, it is no longer reactive.

Do I surround myself with people that I enjoy spending time with or am I angry and annoyed by them all day?
How often do I partake in an outdoor activity?
How often do I smoke?

Do I practice yoga and meditation on a regular basis?

Take a hard look at your answers and be honest with yourself about what you are willing and not willing to do to better your life.
